Lush Puppies is here as Wellington dog owners are beginning to understand the benefits of proper care for their pets, and know when they see a good job.

It is this raised awareness and expectation for quality grooming that inspired Heidi Holmes, groomer of over 8 years experience, to start Lush Puppies. Heidi’s grooming career began in Melbourne experiencing the demands of the boutique grooming industry, delivering high quality service to customers who were accustomed to the best. This valuable early experience was taken back to Heidi’s home town of Brisbane, where her natural love of animals complimented her talent for grooming.

Lured to Wellington by an enterprising Kiwi lad, Heidi quickly recognized the standard of grooming in the city could be better and so Lush Puppies was born. Since opening over a year ago Lush Puppies has grown fast, mostly by word of mouth, based on a simple philosophy centered around Heidi’s innate love for dog’s. It has not always been much of a Kiwi thing to pamper your pets but that mentality is changing quickly as owners see the difference in their pets well being after a positive grooming experience.
